Terms of Business

These terms are deemed to be accepted by the pupil / pupil’s parent or legal guardian
as soon as payment for any driving tuition has been made.

Booking Lessons
Lessons can be booked directly with me during your current lesson or by telephone to our office
on 01472 788 780. If you are asked to leave a message then please leave your name and a
contact number and we return to you as soon as we can.

Cancellation (by pupil)
If you need to cancel a booked lesson you must give me at least 24 hours notice otherwise I may
have to charge you for the missed lesson. Notice of cancellation must be given by telephone call
to the office on 01472 788 780 and leaving a message if required clearly stating your name and
the lesson time that you wish to cancel. No other method of cancellation can be accepted.

Cancellation (by instructor) (except for cancellation due to adverse weather)
If I have to cancel then I will give you at least 24 hours notice by telephone call to your preferred
contact number that you will have provided to me. If this is a mobile number then I will leave a
voicemail message and/ or a text message if you are unavailable to answer the call.
If I fail to provide you with notice in this way then I will provide your next lesson at ½ price.

Prices
These are at our current rates as shown on our website and agreed prices are confirmed on your
appointment card. Advance payments for block bookings and courses are non refundable if the
pupil fails to take the lesson(s) or complete the course.

Method of Payment
Unless Advance Payment has been made, payment is due at the start of each lesson and can be
made either by cash or cheque supported by a valid cheque guarantee card.

Smoking / Alcohol / Drugs
No smoking is allowed on any lesson.
I reserve the right to suspend or cancel the lesson if I believe you are unfit to start or continue.
No refunds of lesson payment will be made in such circumstances.

Test Vehicle & Fee
The use of the school’s vehicle for your driving test will be charged to you at the rate as shown in
our current prices. The car will be fully maintained in accordance with the manufacturer, fully
insured, road taxed, fuelled and roadworthy. I cannot be held liable for any mechanical or
electrical failure of the vehicle during any test. The vehicle lights will be checked with you
immediately prior to a test being taken.

Complaints
If you feel the need to complain about any aspect of your instruction or our service please speak
or write to myself in the first instance. If you feel your complaint has not been satisfactorily
resolved I will explain how you can escalate your complaint to the Driving Standards Agency
(DSA).

Privacy Policy
Please be aware that we do not share any personal information that you provide us with, with
any other parties.
Please also be aware that we do not store any financial details (including credit / debit card
numbers) that you may have provided us with.
We comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and the Data Protection Act.
